I like to think.

I like to take the time to dream about what might be, in great detail, however unlikely. I like to think we'll take city breaks just for a weekend. Spend sundays in garden centres, not to look at plants but to see old couples that are two halves of one being. I can imagine seeing ourselves at that age, licking a finger to turn a page, monogram hanky... golden age. I like to think every now and then we'll have a kids day where we can make a den and watch cartoons like Spiderman or X-men and maybe Ben 10. I can imagine us in our superhero base, you'd save me from moths and I'd save face. I like to think I could be someone you're proud to be with, and I'd be allowed to be myself. I like to think we'll learn languages together; hope for a thunderstorm with just the threat of bad weather. I like to think we'll have hugged waist and leg strokes, fresh faced to old folks, reference based in-jokes, whiskey laced Diet coke's, together and the same; double yolk.
I like to think one day all this could be true, But I'll need a second opinion, I'd better ask you.
