G r a v i t é

My weight sometimes gets me down. 
I look in the mirror, but see no crown.
No heavy precious metals, no jewels the size of my fist.
My weight is my own doing, not a tiara that I missed.

But my weight isn't a reflection of my worth.
It's gravity's way of saying, I belong on this earth.
So I'll stick around a while, and try to get smaller.
Like Benjamin button, but perhaps a bit taller.
